Steven J Donnelly, MD
Dr. Steven Donnelly, a board-certified ophthalmologist, has practiced medicine and surgery in coastal Georgia since 2006 as a Major in the US Army Medical Corps assigned to Fort Stewart. After being honorably discharged in July 2010, he is very pleased to join Boland Eye Center and provide excellent quality care to the residents of the Southeast. A native of Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Donnelly received his medical degree from Temple University where he also met his beloved wife, Diane. After completing his ophthalmology residency and serving as chief resident at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, he ran a busy comprehensive ophthalmology service and jointly supervised the construction and implementation of the Army's 9th Warfighter Refractive Eye Surgery Center at Fort Stewart. Dr. Donnelly is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Medical Association. His primary interests include cataract surgery, eyelid oculoplastic surgery, laser refractive surgery, and glaucoma management.
