Glaucoma
Surgeries
Along with
the extensive medical management procedures, Dr. Boland performs a
number of surgical treatments for the less responsive cases. Dr.
Boland performs surgical trabeculectomy, YAG laser peripheral
iridotomy and in-office Argon laser trabeculoplasty.
Diabetic
Management
Boland Eye
Center is fully equipped to manage diabetic patients with ocular
involvement. We have in-office facilities for retinal photography
and Argon laser treatment of diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Boland
remains in constant communication with patient’s medical doctor
regarding current findings and therapies.
Oculoplastic
Surgery
Dr. Boland
handles the surgical repair of abnormal lid position when a
patient’s vision is affected. Some patients have trouble with their
eyelids drooping down and blocking their vision. The corrective
procedures are called blepharoplasty or ptosis repair.
General
Ophthalmic Surgeries
Dr. Boland
performs numerous eye procedures in the office including: removal
of eyelid lesions; treatments for dry eyes; removal of eyelashes;
imbedded foreign bodies and corneal erosion treatment.
Cataract
Surgery with intraocular implants
The surgical
treatment for cataract removal has evolved rapidly over the last
twenty years. Dr. Boland offers the latest NO-STITCH procedure to
his patients. Our patients experience less post-operative
irritation, almost no physical limitations and rapid visual recovery
right after surgery.
